First time trying this place. Service was friendly and fast, Breakfast was good, I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was not freshly pound chicken fried steak. The gravy was good and thick like I like it. Good coffee and very reasonable for what I got. I go back and give it another shot.

On our second visit we had a negative experience. The restaurant was nearly empty. I had to use the restroom and left my order with my wife. After returning the table 10 minutes later my wife informed me that no one had taken out order. It appeared that one waitress was doing all the work while the rest of the staff lolly gagged behind the bar area. We waited an additional 10 minutes. Our waitress seemed to have every table plus the register. It is not clear what the other employees were doing, but they were not helping anyone. This prevented our server from acknowledging that we existed. Ultimately we walked out, frustrated, and ate someplace else. Driving out to NSB on our day off is supposed to be relaxing. This started our beach day off on the wrong foot. We will not make the mistake of starting our beach days at the Golden Biscuit again.

Best stuffed French toast ever. Fresh fruits and some sort of mascarpone cream cheese spread. Two or three could feast on this. Good breakfast potatoes made with real red potatoes...not the frozen kind. Staff is always super friendly and service is fast. Always clean. Reasonable prices. Was my go to place for breakfast when I lived there.

We were looking for breakfast on a Monday morning in NSB and saw the reviews for this place. While it is challenging to find, we were glad we did. The place has great food, French toast, blueberry pancakes full of blueberries and real nice, crisp bacon. Cash only .which you need to know, but an ATM is nearby. Will definitely go back!

Enjoyed my first visit to this well-attended Canal Street/Faulkner St diner on Saturday, Jan 25, 2014. Nnote that there is a sign on the Canal Street side but you'll need to walk around to Faulkner Street side of the building to gain entry. I stuck with the cheeseburger and was not disappointed (the promise of fresh and not frozen indicated by the menu told me this is the place to enjoy a burger). I opted for the potato salad (which turned out to be a mustard potato salad and a good entry in that category) and coleslaw (New Smyrna Beach, I've discovered, is home to a lot of good coleslaw; this entry was surprisingly sweet, maybe a little too as I could taste sugar that was probably intended only to cut the vinegar?). Service was snappy and personable, the burger was above average, and the prices more than reasonable. I'll be back!

I visited here with with my wife and two well behaved daughters. They had Good coffee, and great food. Real biscuits! Cute place too. Be warned though, the entrance is around BACK. Now for the bad, and why I could in good conscience only give this place three stars- we had a really rude server , with the first initial Of "M". I'm abbreviating her name to protect her, because everyone has a bad day. But by putting "M" maybe she will know who she is if she ever sees this review. "M", if this wasn't a bad day, and just how you are all the time, you need to find a new line of work. You were so rude that we were afraid to even ask for coffee refills. Thankfully toward the end of our meal, a server named Julie came over. She actually smiled and was very nice. Because of her I might be back in the future!

Long long wait once seated to get food. Been sitting 50 minutes. STARVING or else I would walk. Praying food comes out soon. Maybe they need more kitchen help. Ok. Will cross this place off my list. Never to return.

Food was very good. Service was courteous and prompt. But our waitress seemed to have left her personality at home.

Wow! Golden Biscuit is great! Biscuits are light and delicious and about 6"x6". Great coffee! Inexpensively priced. Only had breakfast. Highly recommended.

Great breakfast. Local favorites like home made cinnamon rolls. Good food at good prices. Delicious options like the stack made with potatoes then cheese then eggs and any meat on the side with a homemade biscuit. Omelet choices and breakfast sandwiches on croissants are also tasty. Will definitely be back again and again! Sausage links are amazing as well. Try it for sure. You will not be disappointed.

Took 40 minutes to get our Breakfast. Eggs Benedict was below average. Not worth the wait! Been here before and this time was a disappointment!

Very nice restaurant. Kind of hard to find, but worth it. We stopped here for breakfast before heading out to the beach. I ordered the 2 eggs over lightly with bacon, home fries, and pumpernickel toast. The eggs were cooked to perfection also the home fries. But, the bacon stole the show, thick cut apple smoked really made this meal. A little pricey in my book. Very attentive wait staff, and also very clean. I'll definitely be back......if I can find it. This is ca$h only, no plastic taken here. There is an ATM on the premises.

Great breakfast and the best coffee I've had ! It's a small little place for the quality of food and price you can't go wrong!

This place was AWESOME! Biscuits(just like mom used to cook) gravy sausage bacon eggs all the things that make live worth living! The wait staff was so friendly they hugged me when we left and invited us back soon. Will be a regular when we visit!

Average locally owned diner. Nothing was great or terrible. Maybe a little less greasy than Denny's and certainly closer if you're beachside. Loses points for being cash only.

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 15 @ 10am. We were immediately seated and within minutes our drink and food order was placed. We kept getting refills over the next 50 minutes while we continued to wait for our food. We ended up walking out at the 1 hour mark...we didn't order anything out of the norm so, it was absurd that we would have to wait an hour for two orders of biscuits, eggs and bacon. There are plenty of options in the area so move on past this one...
